We are looking for an experienced construction project manager

We are looking for an experienced construction project manager who wants to take responsibility for driving and developing our construction projects from start to finish. Here you will have the opportunity to influence the city's development and contribute to building the future Västerås.

Your responsibilities

You lead and coordinate construction projects throughout the process, from planning to handover to management. The construction project manager is responsible for project economics, timelines, and quality, ensuring that projects are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and objectives. The role also includes managing procurement and construction law, and working strategically for sustainable and cost-effective solutions based on business acumen. You will have significant contact with external parties, such as contractors, as well as internally with other departments and when presenting materials to committees and other decision-makers. You play a significant role in the development of the team and actively contribute to continuous improvements in our working methods and processes.

Your qualifications

You lead your projects with clarity and good structure and adapt well to changing circumstances. You have the ability to see the big picture, both in your projects and in the organization as a whole, and often come up with creative solutions while adhering to rules and guidelines. You are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships with those you work with, both internally and externally, and understand the importance of good collaboration.

You have an academic degree in construction or equivalent work experience, and experience in driving construction projects in the role of construction project manager. You have training in BAS-P and BAS-U, knowledge of construction law, and a good understanding of all parts of the construction process. It is a significant advantage if you have participated in procurements according to LOU or LUF and have previously worked in a politically governed organization. We also view positively if you have knowledge of environmental building and have worked with sustainability issues.

You will be driving a car for work purposes and therefore need to have a B driver's license.
